• Hide Group Plan Suggestions 🙈- If you are a part of a group, you might be receiving group plan suggestions. Not Interested? You can now remove group plan suggestions, letting the group know that you are not interested.

• Save the Date: Mark Interested 🗳️ - Wanna send out some “feelers” to gauge who’s interested in an upcoming outing? Send out a Save the Date and capture who’s interested (or not). Received a Save the Date? You can now let the sender now if you’re interested (or not).

• Line breaks in Plan Chat 🗒️ - We’ve beautified the plan chat (a little). You can now press “enter” and segment those long messages into neat blocks of texts.

• Add up to 10 locations to any plan ➕📍- We’ve increase the number of locations allowed per plan from 4 to 10. Now you can hang out after the street lights come on :).

• Chat Message Suggestions - We are leveraging AI. Yes, AI to suggest messages to send in the plan chat, saving you time so you can get ready to be there on time.

Introducing: Trips ✈️ 🧳

Scheduling a weekend getaway to the beach or backpacking across Europe? Well, you can now take Leaf with you. We are finally going international (on iOs). We’ve added 50+ international cities. We’re making it easily to collaborate with your travel buddies & bundle your plans for the entire trip, ensuring everyone is in-the-know.

How it works:

1. Select Plan a Trip and add a photo, name, destination city and start/end dates.

2. Add locations you’re interested in.

3. Manually create a plan for each day of your trip or select Plan Suggestions and Leaf will automatically create plans for you.

4. Add Collaborators. This is your crew for the trip. Collaborators will be able add locations and make plans.

Introducing: Save the Date 📆

Not ready to discuss the details? Delay detail wrangling or create personal reminders. We are proud to introduce a digital “Save the Date." This feature empowers you to delay worrying about the intricate details and set a future date. Keep it as a personal reminder or share it with your friends instantly (or along the way).

How it works:

1. Select Save a Date.

2. Select a future date (up to 1 year).

3. Select a label (i.e. Dancing, Movies, Food/Drink, etc.) or create one of your own.

4. That’s it. You can keep it as a personal reminder or share your Save the Date with your contacts.

New: Are you available? 🗓️

Never truly know when your people are available to hang out? Well, we’re solving for that. Each week, we will proactively ask Leaf users days and times they are available. We will then let you know when your Top People or People You May Know are available for plans. We will do the hard work so you don’t have to.

Update: Group Plan Suggestions 🪄

We’re moving group plan suggestions to your notifications. You’re welcome? Private or closed group owners will now be able to enable weekly recurring plan suggestions that will appear for all group members in their notifications. Group plans will be suggested on a weekly basis, starting with the most upvoted locations in each group. This way there will always be something on the calendar for you and your crew.

Other Updates

• Add Custom Locations to active plans - Awhile back we introduced custom locations, but you could only use them when initiating a new plan. Now, you’ll be able add your custom locations to active plans.

• Enhanced Venmo Descriptions 🧾💸- Splitting the bill is one of the more popular features, but it’s been difficult for the payer to know if all items are accounted for and if the money received is accurate. No worries! We are fixing this. Now when the payee settles up & proceeds to Venmo, the payer will noticed Venmo descriptions include quantity and items selected by the respective payee. This just feels right.

• Hide Promotions 🙈 - We are adding additional perks for Leaf + users. You will now be able to hide promotional content from your homepage.

• Extended Plan Start Dates for Basic Users 🗓️ - Not a Leaf+ user yet? Tired of only being able to make plans up to 2 weeks in advance? Well, we are extending it to 30 days. We’ve heard you loud and clear.

New: Interaction Milestone Celebration 🤝

Leaf is all about bringing people together. So, we want to celebrate with you as you connect and interact with more and more people. This feature will trigger a celebratory “pause” as you continue to connect with more and more people through Leaf. Hint: Today, you can visit your profile in the app to see the number of people you’ve interacted with through Leaf. I’m at 57 interactions across a whopping 326 plans! Can you beat that?

New: Recurring Group Plans 🔁

Always meeting up with the same group of people each week or month? This feature is for you. Group owners will now be able to setup recurring plans (weekly or monthly) that will appear for all group members. Plans will be created on a regular basis, starting with the most upvoted locations in each group. This way there will always be something on the calendar for you and your crew.

New: Google Maps Integration📍

We’re making navigation easier than ever before—seamless integration with Google Maps, a build upon our existing Apple Maps integration. Say goodbye to the days of switching between Leaf and Google Maps to find your way. With our latest update, you can now access precise, turn-by-turn directions with Google Maps from directly within Leaf. When you’re simply looking for the quickest route to your favorite spot, our integrated Google Maps feature has got you covered.

New: History Search 🕰️

“What’s that one place we visited 2 weeks ago?” "Have we visited this place before?” “Do they have a happy hour?” Ever asked these questions? Well now you’ll have the answer at your fingertips after a quick search through your history. Leaf keeps a running log of your past plans and locations, so you’ll be able to easily search by location, plan name, or location notes from the History tab.

• Make Plans Shortcut- As more and more plans get scheduled, it’s a hassle to scroll to the bottom of the home page to find the “Make Plans” button to make yet another plan. So we’ve moved it to the top, so it’s always in view.

  • We’ve also added “Make Plans” shortcuts to each user’s profile so you can easily make plans with your favorite pal.

We have a new logo that better aligns with where we believe Leaf is headed. About time, right? Leaf is intended to become an integral part of your lifestyle, making your social life a breeze. We are moving towards embodying design elements that are associated with other lifestyle apps. Here’s our first step.

Introducing: Moments 🎞️

Thousands of users come to Leaf to make memories with their friends and family. Those memories are often captured by a photo. Today, you can share your special photos via the plan chat, but those moments are sometimes lost as soon as the plan ends. We’re introducting: Moments. Photos shared within the plan chat will show up the next day for you to save to your device or upload to social media. They remain accessible in your history.

Groups Update 🫂

Groups have become the hub of the Leaf and will soon become one of the ways we look to attract external users. It’s the place within the app that gives you the sense of belonging. Here’s the updates:

• We’ve added nearly 100 public groups in New York City and 1000 other US cities, providing you opportunities to interact with someone new. Groups are centered around common interests (e.g. Women Bosses, Skiers, Runners, Beer Enthusiasts, etc.)

• You can now create your own Public, Private, or Closed groups, allowing you to dictate how and who can be a part of your groups.

• We now provide suggestions of nearby public and closed (request to join) groups.

Native Advertising 🪧

Over the years, many local brick and mortar businesses have contacted me wanting to partner to gain attention from the Leaf audience. We have been hesitant to offer in-app advertising until we knew we could get it right. Today is that day. We’ve partnered with local businesses in New York City to bring some of the hottest new spots to the Leaf homepage. Some of these businesses will offer specials discounts and services to Leaf users. We hear you. No one likes ads, but don’t fret, we built this in a way to protect your homepage so you are not overwhelm with pointless offerings.

Leaf Plus Update

Our Leaf Plus users will now receive real-time, verified chat messages via Concierge services about their saved locations and locations in upcoming plans. Members will receive vital information about reservations, discounts, and food/drink recommendations.
